Quarterly Updates

Public companies are required to provide quarterly earnings updates. You should share a snapshot of key financial metrics, performance against targets, and updates on business segments for the latest quarter.

Our Process

  • Number 1

    Design Updates

We’ll start with a conversation to understand where the deck needs to change, visually, from past quarters. You may consider updating the style of your quarterly deck on an annual basis.

  • Number 2

    Content Updates

We’ll work with your Investor Relations professionals to understand the quarterly updates and which information needs to change. Then we will make the edits in layout.

  • Number 3

    Financial Updates

The final financials are usually the last to arrive. We’ll use placeholders for style and layout purposes but be prepared to input final data as it becomes available.

  • You should present a snapshot of key financial metrics, performance against targets, and updates on business segments for the latest quarter.

  • Generally, the update deck should focus on the most recent quarter's financial performance; thus, data changes with each publication. But the informational categories and design should remain familiar for comparison.

  • The document needs to stand alone, so all essential information needs to appear on the slides. Data visualization is helpful, but the slides can be more straightforward and include fewer images than the investor deck. Quarterly earnings decks feature lots of charts and graphs.
