Cortigent develops targeted neurostimulation systems for improving the brain’s communication with specific parts of the body or to bypass injured body parts. They strive to help patients regain control of body functions they lost to disease or injury.
Cortigent previously operated under the name Second Sight Medical. In 2022, Second Sight merged with NanoPrecision Medical to form the public company, Vivani. In 2023, Vivani spun off Second Sight Medical as a newly-named subsidiary, Cortigent. The goal? To take Cortigent public, as well.
Our team helped tell Cortigent’s story to the investment community while distancing itself from the legacy brand, Second Sight Medical. In 2025, Cortigent remains steadfast in their quest to become a public company. They have been actively presenting at conferences and recently initiated human clinical trials.
